Brits Strongly Attracted to Turkey
Start your article here...With the pound weakening against the euro, increasing number of Brits are turning towards non-European destinations for their vacations. Traditional hotspots such as Spain are quickly going out of fashion with interest in new areas such as Turkey increasing strongly.
According to Cheapflights.co.uk, holidaymakers from the UK are increasingly turning towards Turkey. This fact is also supported by the Association of British Travel Agents, which reported a 20 percent year-on-year increase in the bookings for Turkey.
The portal saw a 17.5 percent increase in the number of Brits searching for information on Turkey, which clearly indicates a positive trend towards this Mediterranean country. 'A definite trend appears to be emerging for alternative vacation destinations,' Chris Cuddy of Cheapflights.co.uk said.
The major reason behind this is the more favourable exchange rate offered by the country compared to the single European currency. The Dalaman area of Turkey in particular is catching the attention of money-conscious tourists. In addition to the favourable rates, Turkey has many other attractions to offer - a fantastic coastal belt, beautiful countryside and rich culture and history.
